Keep "The Prisoner" in your cellar!

On our latest tour through NAPA we drove right past the Prisoner vineyard, but hadn't left enough time in the schedule to stop. As chance would have it our evening meal happened to have Prisoner's 2019 Pinot Noir on the wine list at a reasonable price.

Can I say "wow"?

A beautiful ruby color with all of the red fruit and spice you could imagine. This pinot noir drank like a much smoother, well aged wine. It was beautiful right out of the bottle with a balanced nose that didn't overpower your senses. The palate was also very smooth and balanced with cherry, plum, rasberry and underlying tones of citrus. Rich, smooth and fine grain tannins with a pleasing finish made for the perfect pairing with our Italian fare.

While this wine can and will age well, given how emminantly drinkable it is, why wait?
